Description:

This day long session will take a brief look at the evolution of concurrent case planning and its' impact on the practice of various job roles.  The principles of concurrent case planning will be reviewed as well as the factors that identify both strengths and challenges in families that will impact the case outcome.  The steps to concurrent case planning will be outlined with an emphasis on assessment.  In addition, participants will learn skills to assist them in working with both birth and foster families when the goal is concurrent case-planning.

Presenters:

Norma Ginther

Norma received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the Ohio State University and has thirty years experience in working with public and private child welfare agencies. Norma has attained an international reputation as a trainer through the continental U.S., Canada, and Alaska.She is the co-author of the Separation and Placement Core. In addition to her work in Ohio, Norma has helped to establish training programs in ten other states.
